Terms of Use
Effective date: 2026-11-08. Last updated: 2026-11-08.
These terms are the rules for using Paycheck Calculators. They are written in plain words on purpose. By using this site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Acceptance
By opening any page on this site, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy and the Disclaimer. We may change these terms from time to time, and the version in force is the one on this page when you use the site. If we make a big change, we will say so on the home page and change the "Last updated" date above.
What the site is for
Paycheck Calculators is a free information site. It gives you calculators and short guides about pay in the USA: take-home pay, salary and hourly rates, and overtime. The tools are for general information and for checking your own rough numbers. They are not a payroll service, a tax service, or a substitute for a tax professional, a financial adviser, or your employer's payroll team.
Permitted use
You may use the calculators for your own personal use, as often as you like. You may link to any page on this site. You may quote short parts of a guide, as long as you say where it came from and link back to the page. You may not do any of the following: copy whole pages and republish them as your own; use the site or its calculators to mislead other people; try to break the site, overload it, or get into parts of it you were not given access to; use automated tools to scrape the site in bulk; or use the site for anything against the law. If you run a payroll or tax business and want to use our figures, check them against IRS Publication 15-T yourself — do not rely on this site as your source.
Estimates are not tax or financial advice
Every result on this site is an estimate, worked out from simplified 2026 tables. It is not tax advice, financial advice, or legal advice, and it is not a promise of what your actual pay will be. Your real paycheck is figured by your employer from your W-4 and the full IRS tables, and it can be different from the number you see here. Do not use a result from this site as the only basis for a tax decision, a job decision, or a money decision. If you need advice for your own situation, talk to a qualified tax professional.
Accuracy and limits
We work hard to keep the figures right. The 2026 figures on this site come from IRS Publication 15-T and IRS Rev. Proc. 2025-32: the standard deduction is $16,100 for single filers and $32,200 for married filing jointly, the Social Security wage base is $184,500, Social Security is 6.2% and Medicare is 1.45%, with an extra 0.9% Medicare charge on wages over $200,000. Federal tax is figured from simplified 2026 brackets, and state tax outside Texas and California is a simplified flat-rate estimate. Tax law changes, state rules change, and our simplified tables cannot cover every case — for example, local taxes, daily overtime rules in some states, and special cases like tips, bonuses and stock pay are not covered. We update the figures each January, but we cannot promise that every number on the site is right at every moment. If you spot a mistake, tell us through the Contact page and we will check it.
No liability for decisions based on estimates
To the fullest extent the law allows, Paycheck Calculators and the people who run it are not liable for any loss, cost or damage that comes from using this site or relying on its results. That includes tax you underpaid or overpaid, a job offer you turned down or took, and any penalty, interest or fee that follows from a decision made using an estimate from this site. The site is provided "as is" and "as available", with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will always be up, always be error-free, or fit any particular purpose. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the law that cannot be taken away.
Intellectual property
The words, design and layout of this site belong to Paycheck Calculators, unless a page says otherwise. The figures themselves come from public IRS publications, and anyone is free to use those. You may not copy the site's design or text in bulk, sell access to it, or pass it off as your own work. The name "Paycheck Calculators" and the green dollar-mark logo are ours — please do not use them in a way that makes it look like we endorse your product or site.
Changes to the site and these terms
We may change, add or remove calculators, guides or pages at any time, and we may stop running the site altogether. We may also change these terms. When we change the terms in a way that matters, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. It is your job to check the terms now and then. If you keep using the site after a change, that means you agree to the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. If a dispute about this site goes to court, it will be heard in the courts of the United States, and you agree to that. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of the terms still stand.

If you have a question about these terms, use the Contact page. The contact email address will be listed there after launch.
